Software updates

A stable home for every Billisecond release.

This page reports the public release channels used for managed Billisecond installers. Version and checksum details come from the release service rather than being typed into the page.

For installed applications

Human guidance and machine data stay separate.

People use this page. Applications use a small HTTPS manifest that identifies the versioned installer and its SHA-256 checksum.

Publishing is handled by an administrator-only release screen. Installers are checked before promotion, stored under immutable version paths and never treated as ordinary Media Library uploads.

Update safety

The file is not trusted just because it downloaded.

Billisecond Timers verifies its signed update manifest and installer checksum. This website becomes its online source only after the Release Manager is active and the matching signed release has been published.

  • HTTPSThe application uses the configured signed Billisecond update endpoint.
  • SHA-256The downloaded installer must match the release manifest.
  • Publisher signatureThe signed Timers manifest is verified before setup can run.
  • Safe failureA failed check leaves the installed application untouched.

Administrator notes

Updating Billisecond Timers

  1. Open Operations in Billisecond Timers.
  2. Select Check for updates.
  3. Close Timers if a newer signed release is offered.
  4. Approve the Windows installation prompt if your deployment requires elevation.
Current scope

Automatic update checking exists in Timers. Invoicing and Workflow still require their managed installation packages and future application-side update integration.
